Summer Time!!

This sweet gal, Summer, has the cutest ears I have ever seen. They seem to be abnormally large and have as much personality as Summer herself. Summer had surgery yesterday on her bothersome eyelids and was not the least bit upset when I visited her today. She loves attention and deserves to find a loving home. Visit the APA website to learn more about her.

Chip and Roscoe-Jack and Chuck's brothers

I was lucky enough to meet several of Jack and Chuck's brothers, these two cuties are Roscoe and Chip. Crazy how different pups of the same litter can look...

They are available for adoption, please contact Austin Pets Alive for more information.

Jack and Chuck have gone home

It's been 4 days since the boys left and of course I still miss them. Their new family is amazing and I know the boys will have a great life. The fact that they went together makes their story even sweeter!

Sweet Bailey needs a home

Bailey is a very sweet and mild mannered girl. She seemed happiest when in close contact with her APA handler or in her pin. She politely posed for her photos and enjoyed the visitors who came to pet her. A young child reached into the pin, his hand waving wildly as he tried to pet her, she never flinched or backed away. She just stood there, taking everything in. When given a raw hide treat, she buried it under her blanket, saving it for later. I smiled, knowing she would make someone very happy.

Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson

I recently started volunteering with Austin Pets Alive, a non-profit organization aiming to make Austin a no-kill city. I took these two adorable Rhodesian Ridge-back mix pups into my house for a two- week foster. Being that I was their first owner I got to name them and decided on Peter Parker, the brown male and Mary Jane, his sweet faced sister.
I provided them with love, food and my time. I was so sad to drop them off when our two-weeks were up. Leaving them at an adoption site Peter was immediately adopted while MJ found her forever family the next day.

I'm so grateful I was able to give these puppies a second chance and the opportunity to complete someone else's family. It was hard work and I lost a lot of sleep caring for these two, but knowing I saved them from an all too-common fate makes it extremely worth while.
