Vivo on film

It had been awhile since I shot some Velvia so I borrowed a friend's Mamiya with limited success. These images were taken at Vivo on the east side while on an outing with my boss. My favorite part is the squareness!

Split toning

Split toning is an effect where your highlights and shadows are of two different colors. I recently read an article about split-toning and thought I would try it for myself.  Love the contrast between dark purple and pale green, pink and deep green. A great alternative to black and white!

Chestnut Park

Getting low to gain new perspective at this cute park on E 16 street.  I love the contrasting textures.

East Side Outing

At Chicon and 3 you will find a quirky building with a sign that says "Super Alright". Brightly painted, this building's exterior lives up to it's name.

Stairway to no-where
How I love to see such things
Hidden in plain sight

The last two images are the same window. The last was taken in October 2006, when I first discovered the beauty of the East side.

Mueller Airport

These beautiful wildflowers are growing near the new Dell Children's Museum at Mueller airport.

So soft and colorful against  the gloomy sky.
