Jack Fate

Jack is 3 years old and is Chuck's big brother. When he isn't whining or saying "Why?" over and over again he is quite cute. When I first started working with Alison he couldn't pronounce my name so he called me "Gia" or "Cheetah", both of which are kick-ass nicknames! Now that he has a better grasp of it, we have progressed to "Angewa".  Those kids say the darndest things!

Oh Baby! A Lensbaby Adventure

I have always been intrigued by the ads for Lensbaby lenses, so I borrowed Alison's Lensbaby and decided to give it a shot and blog about my experience. I shot inside in low light situations and outdoors in bright light, both moving and non-moving subjects. While I got some great shots, the Lensbaby was nearly impossible to use with one hand and I definitely needed to be using a tripod in low light situations. My take: Not worth the money or the effort you will spend trying to master this lens. I was kinda bummed by the whole experience until I saw an ad for the new Lensbaby Composer. The ad touted the ability to use this lens with one hand! Alas, hope was not lost. I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Roses for me!

So the other day I came home from a hard days' work (she works hard for the money) and sitting in my favorite vase were some beautiful pink roses from my fabulous boyfriend! The first words out of my mouth were " I can't wait to photograph these!" The end result were some yummy macro images.

Sugar

Sugar is a 5 1/2 year old Pit-bull/American Bulldog mix with the temperament  of a kitty cat. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and is a great ambassador for her breed. This photo was taken earlier this month at Red Bud Isle, Sugar's favorite park.

Christmas Day

One of the few images I shot Christmas day while visiting the Deyo's in Rosharon, Texas.
